Description

The noise limit is 100dBA static at 4500rpm (motor bike engined cars are tested at 3/4 maximum rpm).  An equivalent drive-by noise test also applies.

 

The track day entry fee includes one driver.  Additional drivers are charged at the advertised rate.  We prefer to know about them in advance if possible, but you can sign on and pay for extra drivers and passengers on the day as well.  There is also a nominal fee for passengers.

 

Various circuit coaching packages are available starting with a single 30 minute book-on-the-day session.  Multiple sessions can be split across the day or between drivers sharing.  Coaching can be tailored to individual requirements – call to discuss.  Our instructors are all ARDS S and A Grade.

 

The typical programme for the full day is:-

 

  • 07:30 Sign-on
  • 08:30 Safety briefing
  • 09:00 Sighting Laps then circuit open
  • 12:30  Lunch (circuit closed)
  • 13:30 Circuit open
  • 16:00 End of day.

 

An information pack providing everything you need to know on the day is emailed to you after you have made your booking.

 

All drivers and passengers must sign an indemnity form before being permitted to go out on the circuit.  The form is a self-declaration that acknowledges that motor sport is dangerous and that the person signing accepts this and that the person and vehicle are fit to take part.

 

There are no garages in the paddock so you might like to think about bringing a gazebo if you have an open top car and you think it might be raining.

 

There are lots of places to stay near the circuit if you have a long journey and need to travel the day before.  It’s also normally possible to camp at the circuit or park up a motorhome for the night as well, but if you would like to do this it’s best to check with us or the circuit in advance to make sure of availability.  There is usually no charge.

 

Spectators are very welcome to come along too.  There is very good accessibility on foot for viewing the action all around the circuit, or to most places by car on the perimeter road.

 

Our administration is based in the Tavern Restaurant throughout the day, and of course we can also be found at the pit lane access point under the Avon Bridge if you need assistance.

 

Castle Combe Circuit:  Castle Combe Circuit first opened in 1950 making it one of the oldest operating circuits in the country.  The circuit layout was modified in 1999 adding new corners and increasing the circuit length to its current 1.85 miles.  It’s a fast, flowing circuit and great fun to drive.

 

We’ve been at Castle Combe since 6th November 2002.  It’s a circuit we like very much, the facilities are good, the restaurant is first rate and the Castle Combe staff are all very friendly and welcoming.
